Mr. M.K. Tara, a graduate in Chemical Engineering, has more than 35 years of experience at various levels and in different facets of project management and administration of large pulp and paper mills both in India and abroad. He was associated with Abhishek Industries Ltd., Tamil Nadu Newsprint and Paper Limited, Panjapol Pulp and paper Co. Ltd., Thailand and Phoenix Pulp and Paper Public Co., Thailand, Sabah Forest Industries, Malaysia, Hindustan paper Corporation Ltd., Hindustan Newsprint Mill etc. His expertise includes (a) turning around the troubled mills (b) Erection and start up of new mills and (c) trouble shooting, stabilization and optimization of mills. He also possesses practical experience of all latest technology. He is a member of Committee of Director (Finance), Committee of Directors (Commercial & MDP) and Investors' Grievance Committee of the Company.

Ms. Sheetal Bangur
Director(Commercial)

Ms.Sheetal Bangur, a post graduate in Commerce and Business Administration, has been a Director since 2002. She has been appointed as Director (Commercial) on 1st April, 2005. She is also a Director of Samay Books Ltd., The Swadeshi Commercial Co. Ltd. and Mugneeram Ramcoowar Bangur Charitable & Religious Company besides Apurva Export Pvt. Ltd. and The Marwar Textiles (Agency) Pvt. Ltd. She is also a Member of Committee of Directors (Commercial & MDP), Committee of Directors (Finance) and Investors’ Grievance Committee.

Mr. Shreeyash Bangur
Director (Corporate)

Mr. Shreeyash Bangur did his MSc in Engineering Business Management from the Warwick Manufacturing Group, UK and worked for two years in Ernst & Young before joining APPM. His intensive education and work experience has seen him build skill sets that include an intensive exposure and understanding of business strategy planning and implementation. Over the years, he has also developed a strong understanding of business processes and excellent communication and people management skills.

Presently, as Director (Corporate), his prime areas of focus will be Marketing, Human Resource Development, Corporate Planning and Business Development related functions. In this role, he will be working closely with the top management team in establishing best practices, formulating growth strategies and managing organizational structure with an aim to deliver an enduring company wide advantage.

Mr. PK Suri
Director (Operations)

Mr. PK Suri started his career as an Executive Trainee in J.K.PaperMills, in Nov. 1978. His knowledge, attitude and contributions made him to serve in higher & higher capacities and became Dy.GM(Tech. Services) by 1990. Skills acquired made him GM (Mfg.) in 1996 in Star Paper Mills.

He has been associated with APPM since May, 1997 and had grown from General Manager to President (Operations) level.  He is responsible for all plant operations of both Unit: APPM and Unit:CP.

In his 28 years of experience, acquired significant managerial skills to manage the plant operations. Mr. Suri played a vital role in the recently implemented Mill Development Plan successfully.

He was elevated as Director (Operations) from 12 th May 2008.

Mr. K George Thomas

Mr. Thomas had a significant stint in his career at ITC Bhadrachalam (currently known as ITC-Paper Boards and Specialty Papers Division) and carries with him a wide-ranging skill set in the areas of Marketing, Branding, Developing and Managing Dealer network.

In his 27 years of experience, he had played critical roles in strategizing, evolving and implementing marketing plans both in the domestic and international markets.

He has been leading the APPM’s Marketing Initiatives since June, 2002 and helped APPM in developing niche products for niche markets.  His role in sustaining and increasing the market share of the APPM products is commendable.  He has been making substantial contribution to the APPM’s Export Business and also playing a major role in Business Development initiatives.

Mr. C.S.Murty
Sr. Vice President (Projects)

Mr. C.S.Murty joined APPM as Senior Vice President (Projects) on 19th February, 2007 stationed at Rajahmundry.

He worked in APPM from September, 1962 to December, 1975.  Subsequently, he worked in Sree Rayalaseema Paper Mills Ltd., Circar Paper Mills Ltd., Star Paper Mills Ltd. and Amlai Paper Mills from January, 1976 to April, 2001.  From May, 2001, he worked as Consultant for Rama Newsprint, Kasat Paper Mills and Delta Paper Mills.

He was working as Resident Manager for Enmas Andritz, Chennai before re-joining APPM.

Mr. C. Prabhakar
Vice President (Corporate Affairs) & Company Secretary

Mr. Prabhakar is an experienced Company Secretary with significant stints in APIDC, Bharat Dynamics Ltd, UB Elastomers Ltd. Powmex Steels Ltd. etc before joining the APPM in August, 1996.  He has got over 25 years of post qualification experience.

He is instrumental in formulating corporate polices and conducting corporate affairs. He had  also successfully handled two rights issues in APPM. He played a very active role in drafting various documents required for availing financial assistance from international financial institutions in connection with part financing the Mill Development Plan.

As our Company Secretary he has been helping the organization institutionalize corporate governance and leverage the same for organizational development.

Mr. UV Satyanarayana
Vice President (Works)

Mr. UV’s association with the APPM is in two stints, totalling 38 years (The fist from Aug 1967 to Feb 1978 and the second since October, 1979 ). APPM sponsored him to study Pulp and paper Technology at The Institute of paper Technology, Saharanpur. He has passed out with flying colours with a gold medal. He has grown from being the Jr Chemist, in Jr staff cadre, to the current position with his sheer hard work and dedication.  He is the symbol of career growth in the APPM and personifies the faith of the organization in the Human Potential.

He is the key contributor to the process of developing the Quality Assurance and R&D Functions  in the organization. His contribution in customer development and customized product development has been unparalleled.  Later on with his abilities in technical and administrative skills, took over the role of managing the Production Operations.  He is specialized in the areas of Technical Sales,Customer service,and Product development.  He is the critical In-house Resource for various Learning Events being conducted in various technical areas.

Mr.Amit Mehta
Principal Executive to Chairman



Mr. Amit is a Member of Institute of Internal Auditors (USA), Association of Certified Treasury Managers (USA), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He has undergone several significant programmes in the areas of Leadership, Marketing, Quality, Finance, Decision Modeling & Analysis from IIM, Bangalore, etc. He has at his age been invited by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to make presentations on finance related topics. He is also a member of the “Committee for Members in Industry” of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

He was earlier associated with the distinguished house of Tata's in their international business arm Tata International. He has received the MD's awards for Exceptional Performance in the area of Foreign Exchange Risk Management & MDs award for Best Quality Improvement Project when he was handling the finance portfolio at Steel Global Business Unit. He was also nominated as the FIBRES Champion. Mr. Amit has been very actively involved in the Business Excellence journey of the Tata group. He is a certified External Assessor of TBEM, an adaptation of the Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award, USA . He was also involved with the Tata Council for Community Initiatives & the TIL CSR team.

He joined the APPM in 2006 as the Principal Executive to the Chairman. He not only brings his experience and best practices of one of the most respected names in business but also the energy and enthusiasm of the young, to drive innovation, growth and excellence in the organization.
